Giving is a part of our worship to God. It has been said that you can tell nearly everything about a person by the way they spend their money. 

Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver

2 Corinthians 9:7

For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.

2 Corinthians 8:12

But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret.  Then your Father, who see what is done in secret, will reward you.
